Production Technician

The location in Tatum, South Carolina, United States, is seeking talent to fill the position of Production Technician. This job is full-time permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepping paper rolls for the machine
Operate and clean machinery
Utilize cutting tools to remove packaging and creating machine splices
General housekeeping
Other duties as needed
Hours: Domtar Tatum operates 8-hour rotating shift schedule Monday-Friday but could include overtime to meet the business needs as necessary. All technicians work a weekly rotational shift of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
Salary: $20.90/hour plus $1.00/hour applicable shift premium with the potential of an advancement in salary after 6 months of employment.
Qualifications: The successful candidate(s) must demonstrate the following abilities: Maintain all safety expectations set forth by Domtar Work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision Work weekly rotating shifts (8 hours 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift) Maintain a positive attendance record Follow policies & procedures Possess a desire for growth Meet or exceed goals Physical job capabilities including but not limited to lifting, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, etc. High school diploma or GED required. English, written and spoken, is required. Two years of manufacturing experience or secondary education is a plus. Basic computer & communication skills Good mechanical troubleshooting skills Successfully complete a selection process that includes a structured board interview, background verification, fit-for-duty test, and drug screen.
