Position Summary

The Account Manager supports the Account Executive in the day-to-day servicing of the Walmart account — one of IML's largest and most operationally demanding businesses. This role is the connective tissue between Walmart's systems and timelines and IML's internal teams, owning the accuracy and movement of orders, samples, item setup, and ecommerce content from program kickoff through in-store execution.

The right candidate is detail-obsessed, fluent in Walmart's supplier tools and cadence, and energized by keeping a complex, fast-moving business running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management

  • Create, maintain, and track purchase orders across all active programs, ensuring quantities, ship windows, and MABDs are accurate and aligned with Walmart's calendar
  • Monitor order status from issuance through delivery; flag discrepancies, at-risk MABDs, and revisions promptly
  • Maintain clean, current order records to support internal planning and Walmart reporting

Sample Management

  • Manage sample requests end to end: intake, tracking, and dispatch to Walmart buyers and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate AFM and ad/photo sample timelines against Walmart deadlines, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks

Item Setup & Maintenance

  • Own item setup and ongoing maintenance in Walmart's systems, ensuring accurate item data, costs, dimensions, and attributes
  • Resolve item-level errors and discrepancies quickly to prevent downstream order, replenishment, or ecommerce issues

E-Commerce Support

  • Maintain and support OLX (ecommerce) item content, imagery, and listings
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure online assortments are set up correctly, live on time, and accurately represented

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Drive internal follow-up across Licensing, Production, and Import teams to keep approvals, production milestones, and shipments on schedule
  • Communicate challenges and opportunities clearly and to the correct team members — escalating risks early and routing information where it drives action

Qualifications

Required

  • Hands-on experience with Walmart Retail Link and Scintilla (reporting, item management, order tracking)
  • Exceptional attention to detail — accuracy in data entry, order records, and item setup is non-negotiable
  • Baseline understanding of supply chain processes (PO lifecycle, production-to-DC flow, MABDs, in-store execution)
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills; able to manage many open items across multiple programs simultaneously
  • Clear, proactive communicator — comfortable interfacing with retailers, internal teams, and overseas partners
  • Proficiency in Excel (filtering, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/lookup functions)

Preferred

  • Experience supporting a mass retail account (Walmart, Target, or similar) on the supplier side
  • Familiarity with licensed apparel or softlines
  • Working knowledge of Walmart's fiscal calendar and seasonal set cadence
  • Experience with AEX/ADS exports or similar order data workflows

What Success Looks Like

  • Orders, items, and samples are accurate, current, and never the reason a program slips
  • Internal teams know exactly where things stand because follow-up is consistent and information reaches the right people
  • The Account Executive can focus on strategy and growth because the operational foundation of the business is airtight
