Purpose Of Job
The Mental Health Resource Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activity within the Hendry County Mental Health Services Center with a focus on assisting residences needing mental health services and expanding mental health services access for individuals and families in need. This includes coordination of mental health agencies and providers utilizing the Center, knowledge of available resources for clients seeking mental health services, coordination of services for clients, and related special initiatives.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for the intake of calls and walk-ins for clients needing mental health services.
Connecting clients with the appropriate available mental health provider and/or setting up clients with telehealth services and helping facilitate those services as needed.
Communicate with mental health providers serving Hendry County as well as those outside the County to properly understand the services they provide and connect clients with providers.
Work with mental health providers and County Public Information Officer on messaging to promote mental health services in the County.
Coordinate with mental health providers to schedule time for them to utilize the suboffice space for meetings with clients and walk-ins.
Oversee the implementation and day-to-day operation of any mental health-related telehealth activities in Hendry County within the Clewiston United Way Resiliency Hub network and other relevant locations.
Communicate regularly with United Way 211 to ensure services are accurate in the database as well as to facilitate direct service needs.
Respond to work during a declared state of disaster and/or events.

Ability to present information and respond to client questions seeking services from local mental health/behavioral health providers.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Requires knowledge of MS Office software and database programs.
Occasional public speaking may be required.
Problem‑solving capabilities and cultural diversity skills.
Valid Florida Driver’s License with a driving record that meets insurance guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of an AA degree or comparable work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in case management, program management, social services, and mental health services experience preferred.
Prior experience with nonprofit employers preferred.
Experience with crisis intervention training ideal.

Hours of Work
8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Weekdays, with evening and weekend events to be required as job duties demand.
Starting Range
Minimum $18.00 per hour and maximum rate of pay depends upon experience and/or certifications. This is a full‑time hourly position that includes county medical benefits and state retirement.
