What You Will Do
Join Hayes Performance Systems as our 2nd Shift Production Supervisor and lead daily operations across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll be responsible for the safety, quality, productivity, and performance of your shift. You'll lead a team of hourly employees, address challenges as they arise, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals are met. This is a hands‑on leadership position that requires a strong presence on the production floor, sound decision‑making, and the ability to balance people leadership with operational execution.

How You Will Do It

Lead and support hourly employees across daily production operations

Hold employees accountable to safety, attendance, quality, and performance expectations

Monitor production performance and address issues impacting safety, quality, delivery, or productivity

Respond to employee concerns, operational challenges, and production issues in real time

Coach, develop, and provide performance feedback to team members

Coordinate staffing, schedules, and resources to support production requirements

Partner with Safety, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues and improve performance

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste and improve operational efficiency

Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Support employee development, succession planning, and team engagement initiatives

What We Look For

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred

5–7+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience

Experience leading teams in a production-driven manufacturing environment

Strong ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions in a fast‑paced setting

Proven experience addressing employee performance, attendance, and accountability issues

Ability to build credibility with employees while maintaining consistent expectations

Strong communication, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills

Experience working within a union manufacturing environment preferred

Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational metrics

Bonus:

CPI, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma certification

Experience leading culture, engagement, or operational improvement initiatives
