Biggs Cardosa is seeking a
Senior Marketing Coordinator
to join our 95-person structural engineering firm. This full-time, non-exempt position may be based in either our San Jose or Orange County office and will report to the Director of Marketing.
We are looking for an experienced AEC marketing professional who is highly organized, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong writing, editing, graphic design, and project management skills, along with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, persuasive, and visually compelling marketing materials.

For nearly 40 years, we have provided innovative, high-quality structural engineering services for bridge, transportation, building, and public infrastructure projects throughout the West Coast. Our work includes design, consulting, project management, construction management, and inspection services for public agencies, architects, developers, contractors, and engineering partners.
What You Will Do
The Senior Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting pursuit strategy, proposal development, marketing communications, and firmwide brand initiatives. Responsibilities include:
Lead the development and production of qualifications packages, proposals, and presentations for pursuit opportunities, including research, scheduling, content coordination, writing, editing, design, and final delivery.
Support interview preparation, including presentation materials, leave‑behinds, and team coordination.
Maintain marketing databases, proposal content, project data, resumes, and marketing master files to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Develop and update marketing collateral, including project sheets, capability statements, statements of qualifications, resumes, presentations, and targeted client packages.
Write and edit client‑facing and firmwide content, including proposal narratives, website copy, newsletters, social media posts, award submissions, and thought leadership materials.
Manage and produce award submission content, boards, posters, photography coordination, drone photography coordination, and related visual assets.
Create and manage website content updates to ensure information remains accurate, current, and aligned with the firm’s brand.
Ensure marketing materials follow brand standards and maintain a high level of quality, polish, and consistency.
Maintain organized marketing asset libraries, templates, and production systems.
Assist with planning and coordination for firm events, workshops, job fairs, trade shows, client gifts, corporate branded materials, and SMPS chapter involvement.
Contribute to annual marketing planning, industry research, competitive positioning, target client identification, and market trend monitoring.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, business administration, journalism, or a related field.
Experience
5+ years of marketing experience in the AEC industry.
Demonstrated experience independently managing proposals from kickoff through final delivery.
Familiarity with SMPS best practices preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
Experience using AI tools to support marketing, writing, research, or workflow efficiency.
Familiarity with social media platforms and website content management systems preferred.

The anticipated salary range for this position is
$40 to $45 per hour , depending on experience.
