Position Summary
Metro Hospitality Partners, Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director of In-House Marketing to lead all marketing initiatives for the Wyndham Houston Near NRG Park. This executive-level position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic marketing programs that increase hotel occupancy, restaurant revenue, banquet and convention bookings, and overall property visibility throughout the Houston market.
The Executive Director of In-House Marketing will serve as the primary marketing leader for all on-property revenue centers, including:
Wyndham Houston Near NRG Park Hotel
Stetson Restaurant & Breakfast House
Starbucks Coffee Kiosk
Massage & Wellness Center
Convention & Conference Center
Seasonal Events and Special Promotions
This position requires a highly motivated hospitality marketing professional with a proven track record of increasing revenues, strengthening brand awareness, and driving measurable results within the Houston hospitality market.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Communications, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive hospitality marketing experience
Minimum of three (3) years in a leadership or executive-level marketing role
Full-service hotel experience required
Convention center, banquet, catering, restaurant, and entertainment marketing experience preferred
Strong understanding of the Houston corporate, medical, sports, convention, government, and leisure markets
Experience managing marketing budgets and ROI analysis
Strong knowledge of social media platforms, digital advertising, SEO, email marketing, and public relations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership
Develop and execute comprehensive annual marketing plan
Create and manage marketing budgets and revenue‑generating campaigns
Identify opportunities to increase market share and brand visibility
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer behavior
Provide monthly executive marketing reports detailing campaign performance and return on investment
Drive occupancy growth through targeted local and regional marketing efforts
Promote leisure, corporate, sports, medical, airline, and convention business segments
Assist the Sales Team in generating group room nights and event opportunities
Support citywide convention opportunities and major Houston events
Food & Beverage Marketing
Develop promotional campaigns for Stetson Restaurant & Breakfast House
Develop promotional campaigns for Starbucks Coffee Kiosk
Plan special culinary events and seasonal menus
Increase local patronage and repeat business
Coordinate restaurant events, happy hours, brunch campaigns, and holiday promotions
Convention & Catering Marketing
Promote the hotel’s convention center and meeting facilities
Support banquet sales initiatives and special event marketing
Generate leads for corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, social events, and sports group events
Develop marketing materials for government functions and personal celebrations
Digital Marketing
Oversee website content and promotional updates
Create and maintain social media calendar
Manage online advertising campaigns
Increase online engagement and direct booking opportunities
Monitor online reputation management and review response
Community Relations & Public Relations
Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations
Represent Metro Hospitality Partners at networking events and community functions
Coordinate media relations and press releases
Create strategic partnerships with Houston‑area organizations and event planners
Brand Standards & Content Creation
Ensure all marketing materials meet Wyndham brand standards
Coordinate photography, videography, and promotional content
Maintain consistency across all platforms and marketing material
Create compelling content that enhances guest engagement and revenue opportunities
Leadership Responsibilities
Participate in Executive Committee meetings
Collaborate with Operations, Food & Beverage, Sales, Revenue Management, and Human Resources
Provide leadership and guidance on all marketing initiatives
Assist with property‑wide events, grand openings, and promotional launches
Develop measurable goals and performance metrics
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation and public speaking ability
Advanced social media and digital marketing expertise
Graphic design and content creation experience preferred
Ability to analyze data and develop strategic marketing plans
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, full‑service hotel environment
Professional appearance and executive-level presence
