988 Director (Full Time)

Overview
Community Care Alliance seeks a highly qualified candidate for 988 Director. This high‑visibility, high‑impact role is at the forefront of suicide prevention and crisis response. The ideal candidate appreciates the urgency and immense responsibility of leading from the front of an integrated crisis system and is committed to advancing an equitable, client‑centered, trauma‑informed, and anti‑oppressive service delivery model.
Essential Qualifications
Demonstrated capacity to lead complex systems – proven ability to manage large and diverse teams, execute multiple high‑visibility, high‑stakes projects simultaneously, and build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to further a program’s mission, vision, and values, evidenced by experience with strategic planning, program design or expansion, or similar.
Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to coach, mentor, train and respond directly in high‑acuity clinical environments.
Consistent success in initiating and executing tasks independently while working with interdisciplinary and cross‑program teams.
Core Functions
Provides direct supervision and support to the 988 clinical and compliance managers, ensuring supervisees meet training benchmarks, staff recruitment, retention, resiliency, and regulatory adherence.
Engages in routine evaluation of program needs and develops policies, procedures and strategic goals accordingly.
Coordinates with various administrative departments (HR, payroll, finance, IT, etc.) to align the program with the agency’s mission, values, and culture.
Communicates progress toward key metrics with internal and external stakeholders via data and outcomes reports, care coordination agreements, and other written reports.
Participates in outreach opportunities to promote 988 services and ensure program coordination and access.
Skills and Experience
Master’s degree in social work (clinical track) or related field required, with independent licensure highly preferred.
At least 3 years of direct practice experience in Emergency Services, Mobile Crisis, or similar crisis intervention settings.
At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience required; significant director‑level experience highly preferred.
