Geopolitics Analyst, Office of the President
Position Overview
Eurasia Group is seeking an Associate to join the Office of the President in New York. The role is writing‑ and research‑intensive, focused on producing sharp, well‑argued analysis across multiple formats. You will work closely with the president, chief of staff, and editorial team, collaborate with the Global Macro practice on geopolitics‑market research, contribute to flagship products such as the annual Top Risks report, serve as a liaison between the Office of the President and the research platform, and support the firm’s digital media initiatives.
Responsibilities
Draft and edit written work across a wide range of formats, from regular columns and client updates to long‑form essays, short‑form content, and press responses.
Contribute to research briefs, talking points, and written materials that inform speeches, panels, debates, and media engagements.
Adapt written analysis for distribution across social platforms, identifying content that resonates with different audiences.
Maintain regular dialogue with analysts to align the Office of the President’s priorities with the broader research platform.
Handle a broad range of writing and research tasks with care and a bias toward action.
Qualifications and Skills
Exceptional storytelling and argumentative skills in a journalistic style.
Mastery of current affairs, political science, and international relations.
Intellectual curiosity beyond geopolitics, including political economy, economics, history, AI geopolitics, and interdisciplinary domains.
Deep fluency in new media channels (Substack, podcasts, X, blogs, newsletters) and understanding how ideas move from niche to mainstream.
Curiosity about AI systems, their capabilities, limitations, and impact on power, and initiative to develop proficiency with emerging tools.
Quantitative sensibility with data, economic analysis, and empirical grounding.
Willingness to set aside personal bias for analytical integrity.
Ability to independently manage a high volume of competing priorities and deliver polished work under tight deadlines.
Comfort working across formats—written, audio, video—and diverse audiences, from policy practitioners to general readers.

Compensation
