Assistant Professor Tenure-Track - Radio, Television and Film
Job Description Summary / TWC Summary: Responsibilities include teaching courses (which may include online, evening and/or weekend classes); advising students; maintaining an active research and service agenda; seeking and securing external funding; serving in advisory positions for student organizations and participating in committee work in the governance of the college and the Radio Television Film program.

Responsibilities

Teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.

Maintain an active research and production agenda, including seeking and securing external funding.

Engage in department, university, professional, and community service, as well as student advising and support.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education Required:

Earned doctorate in Film, Mass Communication, Media/Communication Studies or allied field.

MFA with a focus and experience in visual content creation and writing for visual media.

Work Experience

At least three (3) years of college or university teaching experience and a commitment to upholding excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Teaching experience at the university level and a record of research and scholarly activity.

Proven and demonstrated experience as a writer, producer, and director of television or film, and as a creative producer in development, production, and post‑production of narrative television and/or film production.

Experience and knowledge of emerging industry film production, including the incorporation of virtual production and LED walls.

Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience in single and multi‑cam studio‑based producing and/or directing.

Develop and instruct students on being creators that can shoot, edit and market micro‑budget content that aligns with industry standards and trends for content development.

Maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.

Working/Environmental Conditions

Prolonged standing and/or walking.

Handling lightweight objects.

Using or carrying equipment.
