Job Description Summary / TWC Summary


Responsibilities include teaching courses in the discipline (which may include online, evening and/or weekend classes); advising students; maintaining active research and service agendas; seeking/ securing external funding to support research endeavors; serving in advisory positions for student organizations and participating in committee work in the governance of the college and the Radio Television Film program. This position is tenure track.

Teach at the undergraduate and/or the graduate levels.


Maintain an active research and production agenda, including seeking and securing external funding.


Engage in department, university, professional, and community service, as well as student advising and support.


Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education


Required:



  • An earned doctorate in Film, Mass Communication, Media/Communication Studies or allied field

  • MFA with a focus and experience in visual content creation and writing for visual media are required

  • Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.


Work Experience


Required:



  • At least three (3) years of college or university teaching experience and must be committed to upholding excellence In teaching, research, and service.

  • The successful applicant should have teaching experience at the university level and a record of research and scholarly activity.

  • Candidates should have proven and demonstrated experience as a writer, producer and director of either Television or Film and as a creative producer in development, production and post-production of narrative television and/or film production.

  • Experience and knowledge of emerging industry film production including the incorporation of Virtual Production and LED Walls.


Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience in single and multi-cam studio based producing and/or directing.
