Adjunct for French Horn

Position Overview
The Division of Music is seeking an Adjunct for French Horn to teach private French Horn lessons and, if qualified, other Music or Fine Arts classes.

Key Responsibilities

Provide private lessons or classes in French Horn to students pursuing a music degree, a minor, or an elective.

Teach other music instruments as needed.

Possibly teach additional classes in the same content area.

Qualifications

Ability to teach private lessons in French Horn or a related content area.

Capacity to travel to Oklahoma Baptist University.

Commitment to the vision and mission of Oklahoma Baptist University.

Education

Required: Completed Master’s degree.

Preferred: Doctorate in Music Arts focusing on the instrument.

Experience

Required: Teaching experience in a music content area.

Preferred: Successful teaching as a music faculty member at an accredited undergraduate institution and significant performance experience.

Special Requirements

Must be a member of a local evangelical Christian church.

*Evangelical is a broad term referring to the segment within Christianity which maintains the authority of the Bible and the belief in salvation by faith in Jesus alone.
