We apply our unique expertise across strategic communications, public affairs, research, and digital marketing to create sophisticated and customized strategies that make change possible for both American and European clients.
Starting Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000
Expectation to work from one of our offices (DC, NYC, SF, CHI, LA) at least 3 days a week, preference for DC or NY
The Impact You Will Make

Play a key, subject matter expert (SME)-type role for BPI clients in an ongoing fashion with clients that are consistently executing media programs or on a one-off basis as an SME building and selling in a media strategy
Oversee the development of press materials, including op-eds, statements, Q&As, media kits, and briefing documents
Identify and promote opportunities for executives and experts to contribute thought leadership in top-tier outlets
Proactively build and expand the media program offering and cultivate and manage strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets, serving as the lead contact for all media inquiries.
Monitor the media landscape for risks and opportunities; lead rapid-response communications on breaking issues or emerging criticisms.
Partner with internal stakeholders

including the executive team and cross-functional colleagues

to develop and drive cohesive communication strategies and initiatives
Coordinate with digital, social, and content teams to ensure message consistency across all channels.
Strengthen BPI's traditional and broadcast media relations offering, including practice development and upskilling that can be expanded across the team
Report on media impact to internal stakeholders and translate coverage into actionable communications outcomes
Build a transformed media offering by articulating BPI POV on strategic relevance and reach of key shows across podcasts, YouTube and other platforms in a holistic media strategy, and establish relationships for BPI broadly with key players (producers, bookers, etc). This means reach into shows hosted by creators on YouTube, TikTok, Reels, podcasts where BPI doesn't currently have relationships or placement capabilities. It also means deeper reach into consumer press, like Live with Kelly and Mark and The View.
Contribute to new business efforts, as needed, with media strategies to enable prospects to accomplish their reputation objectives
