CD&D Color Technician - New Berlin

Support the Colors CD&D team in executing laboratory workstreams, enabling product development, customer solutions, and commercialization of color systems across key applications (beverage, confectionery, dairy, etc.). This role ensures high-quality, timely execution of experimental work aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare color systems, blends, and application prototypes per project briefs
Execute bench-scale trials following defined SOPs and protocols
Conduct stability, processing and performance evaluations (heat, pH, light, etc.)
Maintain accurate sample preparation and documentation
Produce internal and customer-facing samples with speed and accuracy
Support application scientists in formulation iterations and troubleshooting
Manage sample inventory, labeling and shipment coordination
Record experimental data clearly in lab systems and notebooks
Compile basic results summaries for scientist review
Maintain traceability of formulations, raw materials and outputs
Maintain a clean, organized and safe lab environment
Follow all EH&S, GMP and quality protocols
Monitor raw material stock levels and support inventory management
Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
Coordinate closely with CD&D scientists and quality teams
Support commercialization activities through sample and data readiness
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
Consistently produces high-quality, reproducible samples
Executes experiments right-first-time with minimal rework
Meets project timelines and supports rapid iteration cycles
Turns around requests quickly while maintaining quality
Prioritizes workload based on business urgency
Supports time-sensitive customer opportunities
Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field (preferred).
0–3 years in food, beverage, or ingredient laboratory environment
Experience with color systems or food applications preferred
Competencies:

Basic formulation and lab technique proficiency
Understanding of measurement tools (pH, colorimetry, etc.)
Familiarity with GMP and lab safety standards
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Strong time management and task prioritization
Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
