Sales/Design Consultant

Job Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for selling La‑Z‑Boy products and services, providing outstanding customer service and achieving store sales goals.
Key Responsibilities

Interact with customers in a professional manner to identify needs and recommend suitable products.
Drive sales by closing furniture, accessories, and service sales to meet or exceed store sales targets.
Complete all sales paperwork, collect deposits and fees, and maintain accurate order records.
Attend and participate in company training, store meetings, and training for new peers.
Assist with training, coaching, and development of new team members on product knowledge and sales processes.
Follow company policies, including harassment, attendance, sales policy, and customer interaction procedures.
Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes to present and close sales.
Maintain a sales average consistent with company standards.
Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and influence customers.
Vocational or technical training relevant to the field of study (preferred).
Physical ability to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
Reliable transportation to travel to customer homes.
Preferred Requirements

Previous selling experience and ability to close sales.
Interest or experience in interior design or related skills.
Organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency with computer technology.
Compensation

Training Pay: $22.00 per hour for 2 weeks (no commission).
After training base pay: $45,864 per year, with an uncapped monthly commission ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales.
Estimated annual earnings: $60,000 – $100,000+ depending on performance.
