SCM Specialist in Union City

Job Description
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).

Alternating shift pattern: 4 days on / 3 days off, then 3 days on / 4 days off.

This position requires (Exempt Salaried) schedule flexibility and ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Schedule subject to change based on production requirements.

Position Overview
HL Uriman Inc., a member of the Halla Group and a key supplier in the automotive parts industry, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Management (SCM) Specialist to join our growing team. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals passionate about supply chain operations, production efficiency, and manufacturing logistics.

The SCM Production Specialist will coordinate production and supply chain activities to ensure timely execution of production schedules, compliance with quality standards, and optimal resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate activities with the production staff and assist with improving efficiency of the production operation.

Plan and coordinate activities to meet production schedule and ensure products are in compliance with all applicable specifications and modifications.

Maintain high productivity and cost effectiveness through proper scheduling of production, manpower, downtime for sanitation and maintenance.

Facilitate programs in training, safety, communications, and talent development.

Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining product integrity.

Responsible for health and safety of the department to establish a safe working culture.

Establish and manage inventory control management that will monitor and maintain materials; perform cycle counts, perform inventory reconciliation during inventory discrepancy and staging of raw materials, consumables, and supplies.

Conduct performance evaluations of subordinates.

Daily review and analysis of production data.

Recommend solution and/or initiate actions to further increase efficiency, improve quality, and reduce cost.

Capable of lifting wheels and tires (up to 51lbs).

Qualifications

Must have strong oral and written communication skills

Effective interpersonal skills with management team, employees, and business partners in a competent, productive manner.

High School Diploma or higher (Bachelor's)

Must be able to work on feet or sit for long hours.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Must be able and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends as required by production demands.

Prior experience in materials management or production/manufacturing.
