Our client, based in the Heart of Chicago, is a leader in their space that designs, manufactures, and distributes steel storage products. Some of which includes shelving, racks, cabinets, lockers, and workbenches that can be found in homes, garages, warehouses, and commercial facilities. Their products are sold through major retailers, e-commerce channels, and industrial distributors across North America, and have seen tremendous growth over the last decade!

Job Description

Hands on production leadership out on the floor
Lead the operation of packing, paint, rivet, and press operations
Oversee robotic steel welding work cells
Manage a team of operators on 2nd shift through daily tasks
Engage in production planning and improvements
Assist with production inspection process for all operations

The Successful Applicant

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
Proven ability to communicate information, expectations and feedback in both written and verbal mediums
Proven leadership in one or more of the following areas; steel punching, roll forming, welding, dip and powder paint lines, automated and manual packing line environments.
Experience maintaining safety standards of equipment and work area
Understanding of ERP systems a plus
Experience managing teams of 30+ people
3+ years of manufacturing experience (steel preferred)
Strong technical/computer skills
