Job Summary
Are you a storyteller who thrives in a fast‑paced environment? HNN is looking for a motivated Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) to join our award‑winning team. This is a rewarding opportunity to report on Hawaii's stories for a statewide television station with a global digital footprint. We are looking for someone who digs, develops contacts, and embraces all aspects of the storytelling process—shooting, writing, editing, presenting on camera, and online. We understand the demands of the job. In this role, you would primarily shoot and edit your own daily stories, but all of our MMJs work with photographers for live shots. Hawaii News Now has a team of veteran photographers who are here to help with live shots and challenging shoots, and to provide guidance and support when needed.

Responsibilities

Develop and pitch unique stories daily

Shoot, write, edit, and present compelling stories, either solo or in collaboration with a photographer

Optimize story presentation for each Hawaii News Now platform

Qualifications

Strong writing skills and editorial judgment

Ability to shoot and edit on deadline

Strong understanding of digital and social platforms

Clean Driving Record

Four‑year college degree preferred
