Position Overview
The Senior Account Specialist (Sr. Customer Service Representative) at Stella-Jones is responsible for providing the highest-level customer service to our customers by collaboratively working with the Sales team (Sales Directors, Regional Managers, Account Specialists and Sr. Account Specialists). This role is primarily responsible for supporting the team with quotes, scheduling and order entry and other transactions for assigned region.

This is an on-site position located in our Brierfield, Alabama office and manufacturing plant (35 miles south of Birmingham). Key Duties
Strategic Account & Inventory Management

Manages contract customer accounts

Advanced Inventory management and review

Manage Advanced Consignment Inventory with 15 or more locations

Performs target reviews for customers

Understands supported contract and adheres to requirements

Proactively puts together and understands complex price adjustment

Assists with RFQ's for assigned contract customers

Ability to run interpret complex analytical reports and reconcile discrepancies

Customer & Internal Stakeholder Engagement

Leads customer/internal meetings when necessary

Anticipate the requirements needed to support the RSM's/Directors

Ability to communicate with customers

Proactively communicates pertinent information with cross functional teams and Supervisor as required

Travel as needed for customer relations or inventory counts 15%

Operational Support & Administrative Tasks

Prioritize incoming emails and tasks to meet deadlines

Complete Master Data requests as needed

Assist with special projects as needed

The ability to work overtime/storm response when necessary

Qualifications

Two (2) or more years of customer service experience

required;

5 or more preferred

B2B customer service experience within the wood products industry, another industrial/manufactured products industry, or the utilities industry

highly preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel)

required

SAP (or other ERP system) and/or Power BI experience

a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong organizational skills, proactive attitude with exceptional attention to detail

Capability to multi-task and work under pressure of deadlines

Ability to work in a team environment and interface interdepartmentally

Ability to make sound decisions with minimum supervision and delegates effectively

Ability to build strong working relationships and have an excellent customer service record
