Amazon is on the lookout for a dynamic and forward-thinking Public Relations Manager to spearhead communications for our innovative Alexa and AI Devices. In this pivotal role, you will craft and execute a comprehensive PR strategy for Alexa and AI Devices, including Amazon Echo and Bee device launches. You will ensure that our messaging is coherent across all channels while efficiently managing multiple hardware reviews simultaneously.

Your mission will be to create and drive engaging momentum campaigns that keep Alexa and AI Devices front and center throughout the year, fostering lasting media interest and customer engagement well beyond product launch periods. You will develop compelling thought leadership pieces and storytelling that positions Alexa and AI Devices as leaders in the consumer AI hardware space. Your ability to simplify complex hardware and AI capabilities will help resonate with both media and customers alike. Through strategic media relations and proactive outreach, you will build and nurture relationships with key contacts in technology, consumer electronics, and smart home media, securing impactful coverage that drives substantial business results.

This role requires you to cultivate trust with cross-functional teams—spanning product, engineering, marketing, and executive leadership. You will design integrated communications strategies aligned with business objectives and product roadmaps while managing relationships with external PR agencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities

7+ years of professional communications or public relations experience.

A Bachelor's degree is required.

A proven record of securing high-impact media coverage in leading technology and consumer publications.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Experience developing strategic communications plans that achieve business objectives.

A proactive approach to driving campaigns and storytelling, beyond mere launch moments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing complex product launches and multiple concurrent hardware review initiatives.

Ability to establish credibility with senior, executive leadership.

Background in consumer technology communications, especially in smart home, voice AI, or hardware areas.

A track record of developing successful proactive PR campaigns and thought leadership initiatives.

Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams in fast-paced, innovation-centric environments.

Established connections with technology reporters and influencers.

A good understanding of AI technology, hardware design, or emerging tech trends.

The base salary range for this position is provided below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and various support programs.

Location: USA, WA, Seattle - Salary Range: 126,700.00 - 171,400.00 USD annually.
