Product Manager, Neurology & Core IA
The Opportunity
This role requires proven technical prowess, exceptional project management and prioritization skills, written and verbal communication, and the ability to lead and influence without authority. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills are crucial, as this role collaborates with numerous business partners - Marketing, Sales, Customer Insights, Finance, Pricing, MSA, RSN, Customer Service, Regulatory, Supply and Demand Planning, Global, and other key stakeholders. This individual will be the technical expert and the voice of the customer, ensuring our portfolio remains competitive, high‑quality, and a leader within the market.
Job Facts
The Product Manager reports to the Group Marketing Manager and serves as a member of the Reagents team, responsible for the product management of all Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay products.
Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive portfolio/product strategy that includes product requirements, pricing strategy, and launch logistics to accomplish business objectives.
Responsible for gathering customer insights and utilizing those insights to influence the global Lifecycle Team on product requirements for new and existing solutions.
Partners closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, Neurology, to develop and execute on a comprehensive portfolio strategy and drive adoption of new and existing solutions across the US.
Successful partnership with a large stakeholder network, including Marketing, Sales, Customer Insights, Finance, Pricing, MSA, RSN, Customer Service, Regulatory, Supply and Demand Planning, Global, and participation in the US Neuro Squad and other product teams.
Main US owner of the full Core Lab Research Use Only portfolio and pipeline, partnering with Global, Launch Change Management, Supply Chain, and others to drive new innovations to customers on demand.
Develops business cases and pricing strategies for Neurology, RUO, & Core IA assays in development or in the pipeline, as well as understanding the performance of on‑market and soon‑launching products to support the annual business planning process.
In conjunction with the demand planning team, responsible for gathering input and data to create product forecasts and business plans that drive growth for assigned products.
Forecasts demand and financial impact for new and existing diagnostic products using data‑driven projections and scenario planning; informs go‑to‑market and development decisions.
Develops business area mastery, including understanding of market segments, forecasting sales and product demand, market trends, competition, critical success factors, and needs through interactions with customers and other key stakeholders.
Supports customer conversations and presentations, including but not limited to customer meetings, IHN visits, 360 events, and medical conferences, in partnership with the Senior Marketing Manager, Clinical Specialists, and MSA.
Instills leadership through others by acting as a role model to drive impactful business solutions and positive change, encouraging, motivating, and empowering others and helping others to succeed.
Who You Are
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Marketing, Business, Communications, Life Sciences/Neurology or other related fields.
You have 5 years of product management, marketing, business, sales or related business experience or equivalent work experience in the healthcare industry.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in Medical Diagnostics, preferably in a Product Management or PM‑related commercial/medical role.
Demonstrated business acumen, primarily in data‑driven decision making, developing financial business cases and pricing recommendations, and forecasting.
Exceptional cross‑functional leadership skills; able to influence across a wider stakeholder network to ensure business needs are met/exceeded.
Technical aptitude, with experience acting as a technical leader or proven ability to learn and speak to technical topics.
Understanding of the Neurology market, customer needs, and competitor solutions, or similar understanding of the broader Core Lab market.
Detail‑oriented and organized, able to independently drive multiple projects, prioritize based on business‑critical needs, and independently make decisions and recommendations that represent and align to overall business and portfolio strategy.
Understanding of laboratory operations, health systems, diagnostics business, and/or the proven ability to learn quickly.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and validation/verification processes for diagnostic products, laboratory accrediting agency knowledge (e.g., understanding accreditation standards and impact on product development/validation).
Clinical liaison skills, with ability to engage clinicians and laboratorians to inform product strategy and usage.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google suite tools.
Ability to travel in the continental US or globally as dictated by business need.
Location
This position is based onsite in our Indianapolis campus.
No relocation benefits are provided for this role.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $101,700 - $188,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed below.
