As a Fraud Strategy Manager in our Fraud Strategy team, you will lead analytics-driven strategies and actions that balance fraud losses, operational expenses driven by fraud controls, and customer impacts from prevention efforts. You will manage a team of analysts and partner closely with fraud product, operations, technology, and banking teams to deliver new account screening strategies and capabilities that support responsible growth.
Job Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, prioritizing work and delivering against business objectives
Develop data-driven strategies to address new account fraud and evolving acquisition-related threats
Analyze large, complex datasets to identify fraud behaviors, trends, and emerging patterns within new account screening
Monitor strategy performance and customer impacts, identifying gaps and recommending actionable enhancements
Translate complex analyses into clear insights and executive-ready communications for senior stakeholders
Define requirements for new fraud-fighting capabilities, including model-driven solutions, and partner with technical teams using Agile delivery practices
Collaborate with cross-functional partners across banking, operations, technology, and product teams to execute shared priorities
Manage multiple priorities and respond to emerging fraud issues in a dynamic environment
Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes and strengthen controls
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in fraud strategy, strategic analytics, data science, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to interpret complex data and assess operational and financial impacts
Ability to synthesize analyses into concise presentations with clear business conclusions
Proficiency in one or more of SAS, SQL, Python, or R
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare executive-level communications
Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships
High degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to perform well under pressure
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience managing teams or leading a process/workstream
Experience in new account screening or retail acquisition fraud strategy
Experience partnering with product and technology teams to deliver analytics or model-driven capabilities
Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly
Demonstrated commitment to customer protection and continuous improvement
