We are hiring a full-time (40 hours weekly), exempt Audiovisual Technician. The purpose of this position is to provide technical support and configuration for the optimal performance of audiovisual hardware and software in all courtrooms and across York County.
Projected Salary Range/Pay Grade 118: $60,293.50 - $72,352.20 per year. Salary is determined based on qualifications.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. This position is not remote or hybrid; in-office work is required. Location: Onsite position will report to Moss Justice Center, 1675 York Highway, York, South Carolina.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides instruction, training, and support to county users regarding the use of AV technology (software and hardware), which requires the ability to operate and drive a York County vehicle to go to York County facilities.
Performs site checks and runs diagnostics to ensure equipment is updated and working properly.
Troubleshoots equipment and researches causes for malfunction; replaces or repairs equipment and/or reprograms software.
Creates and maintains user manuals for A/V systems.
Creates and maintains AV documentation to include how equipment is connected to the network and affects to the environment.
Ensures volume and equalizer settings for sound are set for the best quality sound for in-room audio and broadcasting.
Works with stakeholders to ensure equipment installations are completed to their specification.
Ensures equipment is inconspicuous and looks professional.
Calibrates video and ensures proper lighting, if video is included, to ensure the best quality for livestreaming and/or recording.
Performs related work as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree in AV Technology or related field.
Three (3) years of experience working with audio visual equipment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Certifications and Licenses:
Valid state driver's license.
Applicants with equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
Physical Demands: Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
Performs light to medium work that involves walking or standing virtually all of the time and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or considerable skill, adeptness and speed in the use of the fingers, hands or limbs in tasks involving close tolerances or limits of accuracy.
