Your New Role
This role's primary focus is to serve as the communications support for the Streaming and Programming Communication team and as the day-to-day lead for posting content on @HBOMaxPR on X. You will provide crucial support to help plan campaigns, create press lists, pitch press, draft press releases for distribution, support marketing activations and more.

Responsibilities

Draft and distribute press releases for programming around key cultural events, holidays, anniversaries, genres, and select marketing events.

Draft event invites, post event communications, press pitches and route press materials to key internal and external stakeholders.

Create and maintain coverage trackers and press lists.

Day‑to‑day support of PR social media accounts (@HBOMaxPR) – manage posting schedule, develop content, draft copy, and liaise with social teams.

Establish relationships with up‑and‑coming press through frequent communication, pitching efforts, and elevation of team priorities.

Track press coverage and industry news to create coverage reports daily.

Liaise with Media Relations, Marketing, Awards, Events, and other departments to maintain the department’s calendar of initiatives.

Prepare competitive analysis reports to analyze press coverage trends and positioning across the streaming landscape.

Update miscellaneous team tracking documents and create wrap‑up reports.

Other miscellaneous tasks in support of the Streaming Communications team.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, or related fields required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field strongly preferred.

Strong writing skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Previous experience in a communications or marketing firm, media or technology company helpful.

Passion for storytelling and a constant curiosity to learn new skills.

Knowledge & Skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on‑time delivery of quality deliverables.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and problem‑solving skills; knowledge of AP Style a plus.

Excellent time‑management skills, including balancing multiple projects.

Tactful in resolving problems.

Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $47,460.00 – $88,140.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards.
