Program Coordinator III - Hazardous Planning

Essential Functions
Develop, implement, coordinate, promote, and evaluate programs; ensure program contract or regulatory compliance
Administer policies, procedures, and guidelines for programs and strategies
Identify problems, issues, and opportunities related to the program; develop and recommend short and long‑term plans; assist in creating performance objectives; implement and monitor programming to meet desired outcomes
Conduct field inspections and assessments related to small quantity generators of hazardous materials
Schedule, facilitate, and instruct hazardous materials training programs for external partners; submit any related documents for certification purposes; organize and distribute payment to instructors as applicable
Develop yearly outreach plans according to program needs and capacity in conjunction with the Marketing & Outreach department; implement public relations, marketing and communications strategies to support program goals and increase community awareness
Assist with fiscal operations by tracking expenditures and making recommendations to management
Provide staff support to local boards/committees related to assigned area of responsibility including creating agendas, recording minutes, scheduling meetings, and creating public notices
Organize and attend meetings with designated individuals to foster positive relationships
Serve as point of contact for agencies and organizations related to assigned area of responsibility
Prepare and maintain records and reports to ensure accurate data entry; may present reports and other findings to staff, boards, and councils related to assigned area of responsibility

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, program management or related field
Five (5) or more years of program coordination experience
Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Emergency Response/Management
Advanced computer skills (including Microsoft Office applications)
