Responsibilities

Serve as Value Architect and facilitate Value Architect behaviors and activities.
Build a client‑facing pipeline and manage leads, client discovery, presentations, proposal strategy and development.
Develop and execute a sales plan for the assigned territory, reporting weekly progress to senior management.
Apply a range of sales techniques—cold‑calling, client visits, email campaigns, conferences, tradeshows, speaking engagements—to identify healthcare IT consulting opportunities aligned with Baker Tilly’s core competencies.
Determine the most effective approaches for the territory and seek necessary support to close deals (technical, recruiting, executive, marketing).
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients through regular communication.
Ensure assigned consultants meet performance standards and client satisfaction levels.
Troubleshoot client issues as they arise.
Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to achieve sales goals and provide mentorship.
Advise senior management on healthcare IT trends, emerging opportunities, and regulatory drivers that may affect service offerings.
Negotiate service agreements and statements of work, including pricing and hourly rates, with clients.
Maintain strict compliance with Salesforce CRM requirements, documenting opportunities and updates to keep an accurate, up‑to‑date pipeline.
Provide weekly sales updates to senior management.
Plan sales trips and client entertainment responsibly, booking multiple client visits per trip and seeking competitive travel rates.
Represent Baker Tilly at sales meetings, conferences, tradeshows, and user group meetings.
Maintain knowledge of the firm’s core competencies and project history to communicate value effectively.
Monitor healthcare trends and key clients in news and social media to identify new business opportunities.
Offer performance feedback to the Business Development Manager and other staff involved in client engagements.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
10+ years of experience in healthcare‑focused industries or professional services supporting those sectors (e.g., accounting, law, management consulting, municipal advising).
Experience selling or delivering tax, assurance, and/or consulting services within healthcare, preferably with hospitals, health systems, specialty and ancillary providers, and/or healthcare IT environments.
Excellent sales skills and a proven track record of achieving key performance indicators.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with partners, senior management, and stakeholders at various levels.
Driven, ambitious, and highly motivated to succeed.
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Compensation and Benefits

Remote (FL): $155,800 – $233,320 annually.
Tampa, FL: $150,000 – $221,660 annually.
Orlando, FL: $150,000 – $221,660 annually.
Compensation influenced by skill level, experience, qualifications, certifications, work arrangement and location.
Additional performance‑based commissions may be earned.
