What you will do

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tech Lead to join our dynamic Investment Operations Technology Solutions Group in our Newark office. We are looking for a strong software engineer to build our future operations platforms. Our ideal candidate will have a background in building complex systems using Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages, leveraging AWS or Azure cloud components. Additionally, the candidate should have a deep understanding of Fixed Income asset management across all asset classes and delivering technology solutions across back and middle office functions.
Responsibilities

Partner with product owners, analysts, engineers and business partners to deliver solutions to our Global Investment Operations teams.
Provide leadership on end‑to‑end delivery of solutions.
Lead, mentor and coach the technical teams as you implement solutions to sophisticated business problems.
Build and optimize technology solutions using modern technology such as Python, Java, and SQL.
Build and maintain data integrations with 3rd‑party vendors, internal systems and BlackRock Aladdin.
Implement and integrate 3rd‑party tools for fit‑for‑purpose operations functions.
Drive future‑state operations solutions to enhance productivity through automation and leveraging generative AI and machine learning techniques to drive efficiencies.
Qualifications

8+ years of hands‑on experience as a software engineer, designing, developing and operating applications and data.
Proven experience in a senior technology/engineering role.
In‑depth understanding of fixed‑income investment management domain.
Strong knowledge of database design, data structures, and algorithms.
Hands‑on experience in designing and coding applications using SQL, Python, Power BI, Java, and related tools.
Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS).

Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a team.
Excellent problem‑solving skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams across the organization.
Salary Range

$175,000 to $195,000.
