Job Description
Location : The Regional Sales Manager role prefers to be located near our commercial print plant locations around the cities of Indianapolis, IN; Nashville, TN; and Cleveland, OH to facilitate collaboration with sales representatives and visits to clients\' sites.
Responsibilities
Manage Commercial Print sales, service, and distribution of the organization\'s products and services within the Midwest States region through assigned sales representatives and sales office activities. Ensure the maximum sales volume and profitability for the organization\'s products and services in assigned regions.
Perform management responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with the organization\'s policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws.
Develop annual business plans in conjunction with the Vice President-Sales, detailing sales activities for the region and sales representatives to meet or exceed sales quotas.
Use consultative selling approaches with extensive knowledge of each account\'s needs, industry, market conditions, pricing, and competitive activity.
Maintain accurate records of forecasting, sales, and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up within assigned territories.
Submit all required reports to upper management and corporate in a timely manner.
Attract new sales representatives through effective recruiting strategies and contribute to their development and training programs.
Participate in the professional development and knowledge expansion of product and services with sales representatives.
Develop and maintain multi-level relationships within accounts, identifying and influencing key decision makers.
Maintain contact with clients in the market area to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses.
Assist with the implementation of new products and services within existing and new clients.
Establish and maintain effective working team relationships with direct team members and support departments.
Monitor and evaluate changes within accounts, the marketplace, competition, and the industry.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Business or related field, or an equivalent number of years of experience in a Sales Representative, Sales Supervisor, Sales Manager, or other relevant area focused on sales and sales management activities.
Strong understanding of sales and sales management principles, typically demonstrated by 4+ years of sales management experience.
Experience with print and/or print-related services is desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for proposal development, presentations, and sales leadership of representatives.
Demonstrates successful selling abilities, including cold calling, with solid knowledge of products and services in the printing industry.
Good analytical ability to conduct customer needs analyses, develop recommendations, overcome objections, and create solutions.
Ingenuity, resourcefulness, and creativity; prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.
Ability to lead and create an environment where others can perform at an optimal level.
Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and ethics; ensures application within the team.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Must have a valid driver\'s license.
Additional Information
RRD\'s current salary range for this role is $102,800 to $164,400 per year. The salary range may be adjusted based on geographic location and may change in the future. Depending on the role, total compensation may include a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
