Position Summary
This is a position of trust. This is a full-time temporary position working in Receiving and Mail Services. Responsibilities include assisting with the processing of university’s mail and distributing goods delivered to the university.

Responsibilities

Assist Mail & Receiving drivers with deliveries to main campus and Health Science campus; ride as a passenger and distribute mail and packages to departments.

Assist with unloading U.S. mail from UGA vehicles.

Assist drivers in loading and unloading UGA delivery vehicles.

Assist with sorting residence hall mail each morning and deliver to the designated mailrooms for the residence halls.

Assist with bulk mail projects, including envelope stuffing, collating, or bag filling tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Work experience, including summer jobs, internships, and volunteer work.

Dependable, punctual, good attitude, willingness to learn, teamwork, effective communication, and active listening skills.

Physical Demands

Frequently stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.

Occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move heavy items.
