Associate Art Director
As an Associate Art Director, you will have a history of developing award‑winning design work and possess the ability to develop others to do the same. You are passionate about design with the ability to generate visually striking graphic solutions across multiple mediums.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Translate client marketing and branding strategies into innovative and impressive campaigns that stimulate targeted audiences
Design compelling graphic solutions across live events and environments, and occasionally digital experiences
Present concepts to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Be responsible, organized and accountable for your work and deadlines
Understanding of production methods of execution, including large‑scale print production
Ability to mentor junior team members
Communicate feedback to team members in a constructive fashion
Collaborate within the Creative department and across the organization
Communicate with clarity, confidence, competence, professionalism and authenticity
Stay current with design trends and apply them to work where relevant
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.F.A.) from a four‑year college or university in Graphic Design, Art, or other relevant area; 6+ years of relevant design experience; 3+ years of experience in experiential marketing or similar; or equivalent combination.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages up to 2 subordinates. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Includes training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Office Suite/PowerPoint, and Keynote.
Other Skills and Abilities
A portfolio of creative work that inspires envy
Experience with B2B clients/brands a plus
Strong communicator and dynamic presenter
Entrepreneurial and proactive
Detail‑oriented
Passionate, ambitious, self‑starter
Willingness to travel a plus
Physical Demands
Regularly required to sit and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities require ability to adjust focus.
