This is a paid, part-time position within the Marketing and Communications Department for the MSU Innovation Center. As a MarComms intern, you will be part of a team of storytellers responsible for developing and executing content in a variety of mediums and across multiple channels including articles/blog postings, video, and graphics on our website, for printed pieces and on our social media channels. The team welcomes storytellers with skills in audio/visual, social media, graphic design, and writing. Playing to team member strengths, all interns are cross‑trained further to hone their knowledge, skills, and abilities as they prepare for professional roles in marketing and strategic communications, broadcasting & cinematic arts, business marketing, graphic design, and consumer research analytics.
Skills Required
Basic understanding of AP and CMS style guides
Understanding of social media best practices and motivated by social trends
Passion for storytelling
Ability to spot a story and the willingness to chase it down
Co‑working task management

Excellent starting pay - $17.50/hour
Successful applicants must be in good academic standing and can commit to at least 10‑15 hours per week toward work. Summer hours available. Training begins immediately.
