Salesforce, the #1 AI CRM, seeks a Senior Relationship Manager to support our Private Equity Practice. The role involves partnering with our Senior Team to drive value and growth for our Private Equity Partners.
Responsibilities
Support senior team in managing relationships with strategic Private Equity Partners, providing a single view of Salesforce into assigned private equity firms.
Advocate the partnership within the Private Equity firm and at Salesforce.
Understand the Salesforce product suite and ideate optimal solutions to accelerate time to value in Private Equity portfolio companies.
Contribute to Private Equity due diligence processes and help portfolio companies develop growth strategies for carve‑outs and new acquisitions.
After announcement, work with portfolio companies to rethink business and operating model opportunities and align Salesforce capabilities.
Collaborate with alliances and sales teams to expand advisory partners for our Private Equity Partners.
Support execution of the go‑to‑market plan for each Private Equity partner with clear success metrics.
Act as connective tissue between account teams and the Private Equity Practice to accelerate opportunities and drive them to closure.
Clearly articulate the value of Salesforce across B2B and B2C Private Equity‑owned portfolio companies and navigate the intricacies, politics, and strategies required to implement a partnership program.
Support sales account managers aligned to Private Equity partners’ portfolio companies to drive value creation and grow the pipeline.
Contribute to internal and external portfolio performance reviews to assess operational metrics and effectiveness with leadership on a recurring basis.
Leverage Salesforce resources to ensure portfolio company customer success.
Own strategic projects that contribute to the overall growth and success of the Private Equity Practice.
Mentor and guide Analysts, Associates, and Senior Associates as they begin their careers at Salesforce.
Required Experience
Experience influencing decisions in corporate transactions with public and private investment teams.
Experience working internationally, both with international clients and on international teams.
Exposure to C‑level engagement with deep insight into business dynamics of large enterprises across industries.
Exceptional communication, strategic, analytical, influencing, and consulting skills, and a track record of thriving in complex, multi‑disciplinary teams.
High tolerance for ambiguity; ability to focus and execute in a rapidly changing environment, take charge and make things happen.
Independent self‑starter with strong work ethic and personal drive, aligned with Salesforce core values.
Superior ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
Willingness to travel as needed, >30 % of the time.
Desired Experience
6‑8 years in private equity, credit, venture capital, top‑tier consulting, investment banking, M&A, strategy, enterprise software, or digital transformation.
Experience in M&A, corporate strategy or digital transformation.
Benefits & Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary range of $144,200 – $209,000 annually, with additional incentive and equity opportunities. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company matching, and an employee stock purchase program.
