Job Details
We are seeking a well‑established Business Development Director to support a growing team. The role is boot‑to‑ground sales, including attending conferences, meetings, creating target lists, and hunting new business and clients in the public health and government agency sector. There are no direct reports of SDRs or associates at this time.
Responsibilities include:
Full life‑cycle business development: networking, proposal generation, and cradle‑to‑grave deal management
Negotiating and closing contracts valued from $500,000 to $55M
Determining required resources for project staffing upon contract execution, and managing those resources as direct reports
Building and maintaining relationships with government agencies and public health sector stakeholders, with a strong understanding of FAR and DFAR regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 8 years of experience in business development
Ideal: 10–15 years of experience
Previous experience outside a government agency or public health sector
Strong knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations
