HDR is seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Marketing Coordinator to support business development and marketing initiatives across our Mid‑Atlantic (VA, MD, DC) Transportation Business Group. This role plays a critical function in positioning HDR for success by leading and supporting the development of proposals, qualifications, and other client‑facing materials.

The Marketing Coordinator’s primary responsibility will be to respond to client solicitations by organizing and producing proposals, which market HDR’s qualifications and experience to potential clients. The Marketing Coordinator will work with the project manager and technical staff to develop proposals and other marketing materials including presentations, resumes, and brochures. These efforts include research, customizing resumes and project descriptions, developing themes and strategies, reviewing and editing technical write‑ups, writing cover letters and content, and coordinating the final production to ensure it meets all client requirements.

Responsibilities

Support pursuit teams in developing persuasive proposal and interview materials, using Adobe and Microsoft Tools (primarily InDesign and PowerPoint)

Monitor client and industry websites for solicitation status

Help file proposal and presentation material upon submittal

Support management of client relationship management and financial systems to inform reporting metrics and dashboards

Maintain accurate project and resume data in business development systems

Support development of annual and long‑term strategic plans within established company direction and goals, including creating growth initiatives and prioritizing strategic investments

Support implementation of key growth initiatives and investments as defined in annual and long‑term strategic plans

Support development and implementation of client plans, including long‑term strategies to capture market share, as assigned

Support solicitation of formal client feedback

Administer implementation of the go
o‑go decision process in accordance with HDR’s Matrix of Authority

Support content marketing campaigns to strengthen our brand, increase our visibility, and showcase our thought leaders

Support the development and publication of engaging digital content that reflects HDR’s brand and elevates our thought leadership

Implement social media campaigns

Support implementation of strategies that elevate HDR’s brand and technical talent with industry associations

Support creation of marketing collateral to support business development efforts

Support fulfilling conference sponsorship benefits, as needed

Support development of engaging internal communications content (announcements, presentations, videos, webinars)

Support planning and coordination of large, internal meetings (in‑person or virtual)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or similar course of study

Strong people skills, a team‑first attitude

Strong problem‑solving and research abilities

Ability to work effectively under and meet tight deadlines

Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Fulton, MD: $54,824 – $78,320.
