Overview
We’re looking for a brilliant VP/Director of Media to drive transformation—an expert in the field with a broad set of stellar media, marketing and management skills. You’ll take ownership and direct responsibility for management within the Media group on key accounts and overall for the team, leading strategy development, media planning, project negotiation, implementation and performance analysis.
Responsibilities
- Translate brand marketing objectives into succinct digital media strategies that impress and excite clients, and transform marketing challenges into platform‑agnostic communications.
- Provide relevant, timely digital media expertise—bonding with brand teams to help them understand why they need digital marketing and adapting their thinking and approach accordingly.
- Identify broader opportunities for Digitas (creative and other services) and articulate those opportunities to senior leadership in a timely, relevant manner.
- Develop and understand consumer insights, translating those insights into meaningful digital behaviors and marketing strategies.
- Act as a “chameleon,” shifting and adapting to meet business demands and individual client needs.
- Represent Digitas enthusiastically—be the face of our company, the person whom staff and clients look up to.
- Travel as needed, staying open to new places, new faces and new ideas.
Qualifications
- Four years of college education (master’s degree preferred) plus ten to twelve years of agency experience.
- Deep familiarity with the digital environment and the ability to develop and understand consumer insights, translating insights into meaningful digital behaviors and marketing strategies.
- Ability to think beyond just media—serving as a sharp, informed digital marketing advocate and expert for clients and the team.
- Knowledge of qualitative measurement approaches—online and offline—and applying them to deliver measurable successes.
- Familiarity with prompt‑based interaction and generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus for ideation, research, or content generation.
