Live Broadcast Post Tech Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Post Tech Support professional to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced live broadcast news environment. This role is critical in supporting editorial operations, maintaining post-production systems, and ensuring seamless workflow across multiple platforms and teams.

What You’ll Do

Manage deletions and organization of projects, folders, master clips, and other file types in a live production environment

Provide front-line technical support to editors and editorial staff

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with editors, engineers, and other stakeholders

Test and validate new workflows and applications prior to deployment

Monitor post-production systems to ensure optimal performance

Perform routine maintenance tasks and system checks

Collect and compile data for reporting purposes

Execute archive and restore functions

Ingest camera files and download external media into production servers

Manage user accounts and onboard users for Avid systems, Frame IO, Mediashuttle, Latakoo, Vantage, and other third-party applications

Create and maintain workflow documentation and SOPs; train users on all relevant systems

Act as liaison between Editors, Editorial, Engineering, Graphics, Acquisitions, Control Room Operations, and NOC/MOC teams

Qualifications
What You Must Have

Minimum 3 years of experience in a live broadcast news environment

Proven experience working in a network-shared environment

Strong understanding of post-production workflows and environments

Proficiency with Avid Media Composer, Interplay Access, Media Central Cloud UX, and file transfer applications

Familiarity with other NLEs, MAMs, Windows, macOS, and related applications

Solid knowledge of various media file formats

Ability to work a hybrid schedule and respond to urgent needs 24/7/365

Flexibility to adapt to last-minute schedule changes

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Additional Information
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary: $109,200- $118,300 ($60-$65/hr)
