Senior Investigative Reporter Job at Virtual Vocations Inc in New York

Seeking a full-time Senior Investigative Reporter to work remotely within the greater Washington, DC area, who will identify underreported federal policy issues, conduct thorough investigations, and author impactful stories on topics such as election subversion and war profiteering.
Key responsibilities

Cultivating sources to provide investigative leads and conducting preliminary investigations into promising leads
Managing investigative projects by assigning tasks to team members and monitoring their progress
Authoring accurate and balanced reports for publication on POGO's platforms and engaging in follow-up activities to disseminate findings

Required qualifications

Minimum of eight years of experience as an investigator or journalist, or equivalent experience
Strong research skills, including proficiency in using government and open-data sources
Ability to maintain and expand a network of professional contacts and sources
Experience managing team projects and mentoring junior staff
Familiarity with federal government policy and operations is preferred
