Position: Properties and Scenic Craftsperson

Department: Production

Salary Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour + overtime plus PTO

Responsibilities

Build, pull, repair, transport, install, maintain, and strike Asolo Rep properties.

Maintain prop and scene shop equipment and inventory.

Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.

Work from shop and designer drawings and create properties elements from a wide selection of time periods, cultures, and styles.

Work with power and manual tools safely and efficiently.

Work often at heights using Genie lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.

Lift up to 50 pounds.

Night and weekend hours occasionally required.

Qualifications

Background in theatrical construction, finish carpentry, properties construction, or related work.

Ability to read and work from shop and designer drawings.

Knowledge of and ability to create properties elements from a wide selection of time periods, cultures, and styles.

Comfortable working with power and manual tools in a safe and efficient manner.

Punctual, self‑motivated, and detail oriented.

Works effectively both as part of a team and individually.
