POSITION SUMMARY:

The Art Director, UX Design Lead is responsible for improving the experience, usability, and visual design of Miller Zell's digital products and platforms. Working closely with Product Development, IT, and business stakeholders, this role helps ensure digital tools are intuitive, effective, and aligned with business needs. The position also supports the Senior Art Director in maintaining consistency across Miller Zell's digital brand presence. It provides design support for marketing initiatives, digital communications, and other brand-related projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Design and improve user experiences for internal and client-facing digital products

Meet with users, stakeholders and project teams to understand needs, challenges and opportunities

Create wireframes, prototypes, interface designs and supporting documentation

Participate in user research, testing and feedback activities to identify opportunities for improvement
Work closely with Product Managers, developers and business stakeholders throughout the product development process

Help define and maintain design standards, templates and component libraries

Ensure digital products align with Miller Zell brand standards and visual guidelines

Partner with the Senior Art Director to maintain consistency across websites, applications and other digital touchpoints

Provide design support for marketing campaigns, presentations, email communications, social media and website updates

Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams

Stay current on UX, accessibility, and digital design best practices and apply them where appropriate

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in design, user experience, graphic design, digital media or a related field.

Experience:

3–5 years of experience in UX design, digital design, product design, or a related field

Experience designing websites, applications, or other digital experiences

Experience working with cross‑functional teams including product, technology, marketing and business stakeholders

Portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, problem‑solving, and user‑centered thinking

Experience with user research, usability testing or journey mapping preferred

Experience with SaaS, enterprise or workflow‑based applications preferred

Special Skills/Qualifications:

Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

Understanding of UX principles, interaction design and information architecture

Ability to translate business requirements into practical design solutions

Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

Understanding of digital branding and visual systems
