Part Timeor Bivocational Music/Worship Leader

View Baptist Church is seeking someone to coordinate and lead the music portion of our worship service for a Christ-centered, multi-generational, rural congregation.
Areas of Resposibility

Regularly lead the music portion of the worship service
Be available for occasional special event
Schedule and lead rehersals as needed
Learn how to use the audio/visual equipment
Qualifications

Understand and live within the doctrinal beliefs of the church
Posess leadership potential, interpersonal communicational skills
The ability to read sheet music
Preferred but not required

Ability to play a musical instrument, i.e. piano, guitar, violin, etc.
Familiarity leading a chorus and/or group of musicians
A music degree or working towards getting one.
NOTE: VBC relies on traditional hymns interlaced with country and southern gospel music. Praise songs are increasingly being incorporated into the worship music for a blended service.This is an ideal opportunity for those getting a degree to learn theirhowto interact withcongregation and the different styles of music that make each service a true time of worship.
