Position Overview
SEO Specialist – responsible for strengthening our content‑led marketing approach to improve visibility across search engines and AI‑driven answer experiences. This role partners with brand, content, product marketing, analytics, and web teams to transform search insights into prioritized topics, optimized briefs, and content improvements.
Responsibilities
Monitor and report on SEO/AEO performance through a regular cadence, tracking key metrics, trends, risks, and opportunities.
Maintain dashboards and performance summaries to inform prioritization and support cross‑functional stakeholders.
Translate insights into an optimization backlog, recommending on‑page, content, internal linking, and technical improvements.
Develop search‑informed content strategies by analyzing demand, intent, and competitive gaps.
Create clear, optimized content briefs for new content, refreshes, and campaigns to guide writers and partners.
Write or co‑write select content and collaborate with internal teams and external copywriters as needed.
Stay current on AI‑driven and answer‑based search experiences, helping make content more “answer‑ready” and discoverable.
Serve as an internal SEO/AEO advisor by providing guidance, enablement resources, and ongoing support to cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in SEO (and/or AEO), content marketing, or digital marketing.
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Semrush or similar tools (required).
Hands‑on experience contributing to content briefs, content optimization, and/or publishing workflows.
Comfort collaborating with writers, marketers, and web teams to implement improvements and track results.
Ability to use data and curiosity to find opportunities, ask good questions, and validate assumptions before recommending action.
Communicates clearly – able to explain SEO/AEO recommendations to non‑specialists and align partners on next steps.
Takes initiative to move work forward, from identifying a topic gap to delivering a brief and supporting execution.
Compensation
Estimated base salary: $68,000 to $93,500 annually.
