Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a well‑established independent accountancy practice in Worcestershire who are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join their Business Services team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced all‑round practice professional who enjoys working across both accounts and tax in a broad, hands‑on role. The firm is looking for someone practical and commercially minded rather than career‑study focused, making this an ideal opportunity for a qualified by experience (QBE) candidate or someone who has previously studied AAT, ACCA or ACA but chosen not to continue exams.

The successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and individual clients, providing a mixture of accounting and taxation services.

Responsibilities

Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns

VAT returns and bookkeeping duties

Assisting with management accounts where required

Liaising directly with clients and responding to day‑to‑day queries

Supporting senior staff with client portfolio management

Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and to deadline

You will ideally have

Previous experience working within an accountancy practice

Experience preparing accounts and undertaking tax work

AAT qualified, part‑qualified ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience (QBE)

Experience with cloud‑based accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks

Strong organisational and communication skills

A proactive and team‑oriented approach

What’s on Offer

Salary of £27,000 – £35,000 depending on experience

Office base in either Droitwich or Worcester
