Multi Skilled Journalist

We’re looking for a full‑time multimedia journalist to join our CBS Sacramento Community Journalism team. The successful candidate should confidently interview, present and produce compelling stories across live and recorded formats.

Responsibilities

Report scripted and unscripted news and features in live and recorded formats.

Create engaging, accountability‑focused storytelling that aligns with CBS Sacramento’s “Getting Answers” mission.

Guide viewers through breaking‑news and feature stories using words and pictures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Prior on‑air reporting experience.

Strong writing skills with understanding of broadcast news and entertainment reporting techniques.

Multimedia journalist experience, including shooting, writing and editing videotapes and packages.

Experience in live reporting.

Valid driver’s license.

College degree or equivalent work experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring salary range: $70,000–$80,000, depending on geographic location, experience and qualifications.
