Sales Manager

Position Overview

Juneau Sales Manager for Todd Communications, a wholesale book distributor and publisher based in Anchorage, oversees sales throughout Southeast Alaska. The role involves operating a warehouse of more than 400 titles, delivering books to stores, museums and gift shops, and maintaining relationships with store buyers. It also requires traveling to outlying communities such as Ketchikan, Wrangell, Petersburg, Craig, Icy Strait Point/Hoonah, Sitka, Skagway and Haines.
Responsibilities

Operate the warehouse and manage inventory of over 400 titles.
Stock book stores, museums and gift shops during peak spring and summer seasons.
Deliver books to store doors and develop personal relationships with buyers.
Travel by ferry, air or Alaska Seaplanes to service customers in outlying communities.
Identify and pursue new customer opportunities, matching specialized inventory to customer interests.
Manage orders for other communities and coordinate logistics.
Qualifications

Must own a full‑sized reliable vehicle.
Compensation

Ten percent commission on most products, 20 percent on calendars, paid twice a month. Base salary is not specified; top performers can earn $40,000 or more annually.
