Job Overview
The Internal Consulting Solutions (ICS) organization is a dynamic and expanding team within Citi responsible for leading high value initiatives to meet Citi’s transformation and business priorities. The organization delivers significant programs in close partnership with Citi’s functional and business unit senior leadership, covering a diverse set of critical initiatives that vary in size, duration, and complexity and have measurable business value outcomes.
The ITS team is an interdisciplinary group comprised of colleagues with deep management consulting and financial services expertise who engage Citi employees at all stakeholder levels.
Key Responsibilities
- The SVP will be a core member of Citi’s Internal Consulting (ICS) organization. The key roles of the organization are to lead significant programs in partnership with Citi’s functional and business unit leadership; to develop Citi’s approaches and methods; to build change capabilities across Citi; and to engage employees at all levels in transformational change.
- The SVP will use methodologies to deliver and support specific operating model, process improvement, and process transformation projects and programs. Projects will vary in size, duration, and complexity; will have measurable business value outcomes; and will be sponsored by senior management to Executive-level sponsorship.
- In addition to participating in operating model and process improvement projects and programs, the SVP will own specific workstreams to ensure delivery against project objectives, provide support as a thought leader in methodologies relative to process analysis, design, and implementation approaches, and help build the internal consulting team’s approach for delivery of operating model, process improvement and transformation.
- The performance of the SVP will be measured by a combination of individual and team metrics including value return on process improvement and transformation projects and programs, stakeholder feedback, and contribution to thought and team leadership.
Role Expectations
- Support CSI Leadership to scope and launch operating model, process improvement and process transformation projects, applying agile principles by identifying business needs, validating key pain points, and determining the business case for change.
- Use hypotheses development, data analysis, and process mapping tools to establish project scope and potential value and conduct and incorporate research and competitive analysis as required.
- Support CSI Leadership to devise innovative solutions through leveraging agile methodology to address process pain points and value opportunities, participate in planning and conducting functional and cross‑functional working sessions to develop future state process models.
- Support change management approaches, assess organization capacity and readiness for change, and work with business leaders to establish an implementation plan for process improvement and transformation.
- Own the development of project plans, including backlogs and user stories, establishment of steering teams, and mobilization and launch of project teams.
- Leverage Six Sigma, Lean, DMAIC, and other common process change methodologies.
- Help create culture change within Citi by reducing time to market, boosting quality, fostering employee engagement, and becoming a more adaptive organization.
- Support the CSI India Site Lead in managing the CSI India team members, provide oversight to junior team members, and may assume direct management responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 14+ years of experience in operating model, process improvement and transformation projects for end‑to‑end processes crossing business areas and siloes within Financial Services or consulting, with 3+ years as a project or program manager using agile methodologies and delivering demonstrated ROI.
- Proven capability to support the development and adaptation of process improvement and transformation approaches and methods, and support others on those approaches and methods. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma or other process change methodologies required.
- Familiarity with digitalization concepts and emerging trends, including AI, and ability to integrate technology priorities into holistic process models and solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating, owning, and developing PowerPoint presentations and similar communication materials.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Experience analyzing processes and creating process maps or user journeys.
- Must be eligible to work in India; this position does not offer VISA sponsorship.
