Job Location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid‑2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world‑class campus in Deerfield, offering vibrant workspaces, dining, onsite daycare, fitness, and recreation.

You are the face of FBIN to our largest partners, helping businesses transform the way they work with us, our customers, and users. To realize this goal, you will gain deep understanding of the business partnerships you create and manage, from tactical to strategic levels. You will craft a vision that can inspire customers to transform using Fortune Brands Connected products, collaborate closely with internal and external partners to create solution plans, and help drive execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the formation of business partnerships and negotiation of contracts.
  • Contribute to FBIN’s planning and execution of strategy to increase customers and sales.
  • Own the process of moving partner relationships from initial contact through development of appropriate relationships throughout the partner organization.
  • Negotiate and close strategic partnerships, integrating the FBIN leadership team as needed.
  • Interface with product management, engineering, marketing, and other teams to aid in the success of the business.
  • Track FIBN integration progress KPIs.
  • Drive new revenue opportunities through new partnerships and/or technologies.
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with existing customers and partners.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience as a Director in Corporate or Business Development at an e‑commerce company.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, executing, and closing strategic partnerships with Fortune 1,000 companies.
  • Proven track record of seamless integration with an entire organization (products, engineering, marketing) to facilitate the successful execution of a strategic partnership.
  • Creative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
  • High integrity, honesty, and accountability; trusted advisor who always acts in FBIN’s and customers’ best interests.
  • A passion for great products and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong customer focus; deep understanding of business needs, challenges, and concerns.
  • Ability to present complex concepts simply and command an audience.
  • Capacity to negotiate and own hard calls with minimal noise.

Compensation and Benefits

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. Salary range for this role is $105,000–$169,000 USD. Employees also participate in an annual bonus plan or a role‑based sales incentive plan.
