Position Description

Lead the achievement of unit and revenue goals for Medtronic Coronary products and CathWorks within an assigned district. Support regional and corporate cardiovascular sales and marketing objectives while ensuring the highest standard of product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Medtronic Coronary products and CathWorks services within the assigned geographic area or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop, build, and strengthen long‑term relationships with stakeholders, including hospitals, physicians, and key opinion leaders.
  • Pursue leads, assess customer needs, and provide product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic’s Coronary products and CathWorks.
  • Promote the expansion of Medtronic’s Coronary products and services to existing and competitive customers.
  • Conduct and/or evaluate market research on customer and competitor activities.
  • Develop and/or implement market development plans and strategies, adjusting them as needed.
  • Communicate customer feedback on new products or modifications to existing products and applications to internal stakeholders, including R&D, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and actively travel by car and plane throughout the region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant sales experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience.
  • Preference for local qualified candidates and those with prior Medtronic experience.
  • Successful medical sales record, preferably with pacing or stent products.
  • Experience in sales and personnel management functions.
  • Knowledge of pacing or interventional cardiology customer base.
  • Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services, or related areas is desirable.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Regular independent mobility, including travel by car and plane.
  • Interaction with a computer and communication with peers and co‑workers.
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Extended periods of computer‑based work.
  • Hearing, sight, and speaking ability.
  • Ability to use computers and operating a moving vehicle.
  • Work in Cath Labs or O.R. with radiation exposure.
  • Wear lead apron for long periods of time (2‑3 hours on average).
  • Work outside the typical Monday‑through‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule as required.
