Overview
At Medtronic, we are seeking a committed professional to serve as an ENT Area Sales Manager. This field‑based, remote position requires the candidate to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance are essential.
A Day in the Life
The role involves conducting sales calls, executing Sales Action Plans, planning and strategizing visits to hospitals, outpatient centers, and doctors' offices, attending meetings, supporting clinical personnel, maintaining company property, reporting competitive activity, and complying with the Medtronic Surgical Technologies Quality System.
Responsibilities
Conduct face‑to‑face sales calls with physicians, nurses, and other key influencers to demonstrate, in‑service, and sell Medtronic Surgical Technologies capital and disposable products.
Execute Sales Action Plans, including use of own vehicle and transportation of heavy inventory.
Plan, strategize, and execute sales calls in relevant departments and offices within the territory.
Attend meetings and courses inside and outside the territory.
Provide support and service to clinical personnel in surgical environments.
Maintain company owned property and inventory in good working condition.
Report competitive activity and maintain timely records and reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with the Medtronic Surgical Technologies Quality System.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience; or Associate's Degree with 6+ years; or Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years.
Relevant experience in medical device or life sciences sales, clinical, or related fields.
Valid driver’s license.
Nice to Have
Successful medical sales record, preferably with ENT products.
Knowledge of ENT product/therapy customer base.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Preference given to local qualified candidates and those with Medtronic experience.

Regularly mobile and independent.
Interact with computer for extended periods and communicate with peers.
Talk or hear regularly.
Sit, reach, stand, walk, and use hands to handle equipment.
Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Adjust focus, carry products, and maintain and transport demonstration equipment.
Approximately 50% overnight travel and 30% physical handling of equipment.

Benefits & Compensation
Salary range: $65,000 – $65,000 per year (USD). Eligible for Sales Incentive Plan. Provided benefits include health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life insurance, disability, 401(k) with match, paid time off, stock purchase plan, and various employee programs.
