Marketing Manager

Kayaking Puerto Rico · De Pere, WI, USA ·

Pay:
$50,000-$55,000/yr
Job type:
Seasonal

Isla Viva Group is a hospitality and experiences company based at Marina Puerto Chico, Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Our brands include:

• Kayaking Puerto Rico — bioluminescent lagoon tours, mini boat adventures, and aquatic excursions

• Snorkeling Puerto Rico — daily snorkeling tours and private charters to Icacos Island and beyond

• Sábalos Marina Grill & Rooftop — waterfront restaurant and private event venue at Marina Puerto Chico

We are building the marketing infrastructure for all three brands from the ground up. This is not a maintenance role — it's a builder role for someone who wants to own something and grow it.

We are hiring a full‑time Marketing Manager to own all marketing execution across Kayaking Puerto Rico, Snorkeling Puerto Rico, and Sábalos Marina Grill & Rooftop. You will report directly to ownership and work closely with a part‑time content contractor and an incoming Partnerships & Group Sales Manager.

No marketing systems currently exist at this scale. You will build them. If you thrive in structured corporate environments where everything is already set up, this is not the right role. If you want to build something real, keep reading.

Core Responsibilities
Analytics & Reporting
Own the numbers. Weekly KPI report to ownership covering website traffic, OTA rankings, social engagement, and Sábalos reservation volume across all three brands. If you can’t measure it, you don’t own it.

Website & Conversion
Execute conversion fixes across KPR and SPR websites — SEO rewrites, FAQ blocks, cross‑sell pages, mobile funnel improvements. You manage the external developer and own the output. You are not the developer.

OTA Listing Management
Maintain all listings across KPR and SPR on Viator, GetYourGuide, and all active channels. Photos, descriptions, availability, and review responses kept current. Flag ranking drops immediately.

Social Media — All Three Brands
Own the content calendar for KPR, SPR, and Sábalos. Minimum 3–4 posts per week per brand. Reels production or coordination with content contractor. Community management — comments, DMs, UGC reposting across all accounts.

Google Business Profiles
Weekly posts, photo updates, and Q&A maintenance for all three brands. Systematized in the first 30 days and maintained consistently from there.

Rooftop Private Events Product
This is the highest‑upside responsibility in the role. You will build the rooftop private events product from nothing — sales deck, pricing support, inquiry funnel, outreach to DMCs, corporate planners, and wedding coordinators. You are building a revenue line, not writing social captions.

Pipeline Conversion
Build and own the pipeline that converts KPR and SPR tour guests into Sábalos customers. Confirmation emails, post‑tour offers, marina touchpoints. Measurable in covers and reservation volume.

Micro‑Influencer Outreach
Identification, outreach, free‑tour coordination, and content delivery tracking. Hotel and DMC outreach for shoulder season activation. Ownership approves all deals.

Content Asset Management
Own the brand asset library. Brief and coordinate the part‑time content contractor for tour and restaurant shoots. Build the UGC pipeline from guests and guides.

Email Marketing
Once the platform is selected — own the calendar, write the campaigns, track results. Target activation: 60 days from start date.

LinkedIn — B2B
Maintain KPR and SPR company pages. Active outreach to DMCs and corporate planners coordinated with seasonal strategy.

Paid Media Coordination
Brief creative, track spend vs. results, escalate to ownership when something isn’t working. You do not run ads independently until the system is proven.

What This Role Does Not Cover
Website development or coding, FareHarbor configuration, guest complaints and service recovery, F&B operations, financial analysis, or marketing strategy. Those stay with ownership or other directors.

Who You Are

3–5 years of marketing experience in tourism, hospitality, or experiential businesses

Proven track record building social media presence from a low baseline — show us results, not just activity

Hospitality or events background — you can sell a venue, not just post about it

Data‑driven — comfortable in GA4, pulls your own numbers, reports weekly without being asked

Builder — you have created systems from scratch before, not just maintained existing ones

Local Puerto Rico based — you will be on‑site at Marina Puerto Chico and Sábalos regularly

Base salary: $50,000–$55,000 commensurate with experience

Full‑time W‑2 employment with benefits as per company benefits policy

Direct report to ownership with real autonomy over execution
