Job Overview

Ares Management is looking for a highly motivated and detail‑oriented RFP Writer to support marketing and investor relations activities. The role involves responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and ad‑hoc client or investor queries.
Responsibilities

Manage the coordination and timely completion of RFPs, RFIs and DDQs, including compiling existing language, creating new language as needed, and reviewing documents to ensure high‑quality, error‑free responses.
Build a thorough understanding of the firm’s products and investment strategies to facilitate accurate and consistent proposal creation.
Demonstrate familiarity with RFP management platforms (e.g., Loopio, RFPIO, Responsive) and stay current with emerging tools.
Leverage technology to streamline RFP processes, improve team efficiency, and adopt and optimize RFP technologies for content management and workflow automation.
Collaborate closely with product management and relationship management teams to promptly respond to client‑driven requests.
Work closely with subject matter experts across the organization—including compliance, legal, risk, ESG, operations, finance, and technology—to write and edit standard or customized language as needed.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work directly with senior team members under tight deadlines.
Review, proofread, and check qualitative and quantitative content for accuracy, including questionnaires and industry databases.
Liaise with internal support departments to obtain data, documentation, and other responsive information.
Work with outsourced consultant database vendors for all active strategies, reviewing and auditing firm/strategy information such as performance, AUM, and characteristics.
Update and manage proposal content in a third‑party database (Loopio), ensuring integrity and quality of internally stored content.
Work confidently with quantitative personnel and AUM data.
Champion the RFP process to internal partners, initiating innovative ideas and creative approaches to increase efficiency and improve the team’s work product.
Pivot and work on multiple strategies/asset classes as needed.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or international equivalent, preferably in economics, finance, accounting, or marketing.
Experience: 3‑6 years in the financial industry, ideally in an investor relations role with experience in RFPs.
Experience with formatting, reviewing, and proofreading of materials for content and grammar.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple concurrent assignments, assuming personal responsibility for deliverables under tight deadlines.
Process‑ and detail‑oriented, placing a high priority on qualitative and quantitative accuracy.
Strong editorial judgment and the ability to work independently and proactively improve processes.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Problem‑solving ability with research skills and the capacity to suggest resolutions.
Calm and focused in a fast‑paced environment while juggling multiple deadlines.
Working knowledge of the asset‑management industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce, Loopio RFP software, Tableau, and PowerBI is a plus.

Base salary range: $100,000 – $120,000, with the possibility of a discretionary performance‑based bonus.
