Overview
University Communication (UC) translates ECU’s messages into strategic, compelling communication and campaigns through the university website, news releases, social media, East magazine, storytelling, promotional videos and infographics, brochures, and annual reports. The purpose is to provide strategic communication and marketing guidance to increase knowledge, appreciation, and support of the University among diverse constituencies.

Job Duties

Serve as Enrollment Services Marketing and Communications Manager, working directly with Marketing and Communications staff and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate School, Honors College, and other constituents.

Collaborate with the Associate Director and Director of Marketing Strategy to develop recruitment communication plans and provide ongoing support and feedback.

Work with marketing and admissions staff to create, update, and schedule all types of admissions marketing materials (print, video, and digital).

Generate concepts, copy, and layouts consistent with university standards, and manage production of projects with Creative Services and other resources.

Produce digital, print, and multimedia packages for student recruitment aimed at specific target audiences.

Coordinate with outside vendors as needed to complete projects.

Concept, write, and produce emails for student recruitment; manage production and deployment of single emails and email sequences in a CRM.

Manage the undergraduate Admissions web site, develop web content, produce web pages, and coordinate multiple content providers.

Occasional video and photography duties.

Provide event support as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree related to communications, marketing, or equivalent combination of training and experience.

5 years of marketing and communication experience, preferably in higher education.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop.

Proficiency with WordPress or a similar CMS.

Proficiency with Salesforce or a similar CRM.

Experience developing email content and communication plans.

Experience with student recruitment marketing, including multichannel communication plans.

Experience with email optimization for delivery and response.

Video and photography experience is a plus.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects involving several stakeholders; experience with project management software in a team setting desired.
